- TRRT Member Uncle John uncovers 1859-0 Half Dime at last hunt. Members had opportunity to search a long lost school location near the birthplace of Texas in Washington County were John dug this seated coin. Locating seated coinage is not common here in Texas. For many detectorists it is still on our wish list. We congratulate Uncle John and share his excitement for finding the oldest coin to date for a TRRT member. Watch the video here.

- Founding TRRT Member Colonel Joe Makes Local News. Joe is a leader in the local fire department and an experienced EMS guy. This picture, showing Joe and his team fighting a fire made the front page of our local paper. TRRT is proud of Colonel Joe, he is a credit to our hobby.

The well known author and past Garrett Marketing Manager Dick Stout includes TRRT's video of the Houston Light Guard Armory Building in the "Latest News" section of his excellent website. We thank Mr. Stout for his support of TRRT and encourage all of our members and friends to visit the Stout Standards website. It is a wealth of information by a gentleman who is an inspiration to all detectorists.

The future location of the Buffalo Soldiers Museum, the old Light Guard Armory building located in Houston, was the site of our latest recovery efforts. Assisted by local archeologists TRRT members performed a thorough search of the buildings grounds. Many items were uncovered of interests that will make a nice display for the museum. We are in the process of editing the many pictures and video clips taken for our YouTube channel. Stay Tuned.
